Mooncake Festival

Hi Primers, as all of you have known, the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming and SP.Primes would like to celebrate it with you! Yes you! Have you ever thought of carrying a lantern but afraid to do so in public? Well fear not so this time round, you have a family of SP.Primers to carry with you! Have fun and enjoy playing with candles, lantern and eating mooncakes and snack under the full moon! Come join us NOW!!

To sign up: Please drop you indemnity form dutifully signed into our letterbox number 69. The letterbox is located below SAA infront of the rock wall.

Details are as such:
Meeting time: 6.30pm
Meeting location: Dhoby Ghaut MRT station
Meeting attire: Causal (preferably something light in color)
Cost of event: $4 (please bring along to pay on the day)
Indemnity form: We need to collect the indemnity form from all of you before the event! Please drop it into our letterbox by Thursday 5pm. Thanks.

Inter Primers Olympic Day

Calling ALL Sport Lovers!

It’s your time to shine! SP.Primers is having its annual Inter Primers Olympic Day. I-POD is an annual Primers event that brings together Primers from different school together to have a day of fun fill sport competition and games.

This year we have 5 different Primers Company taking part. They are Singapore Polytechnic Primers, Ngee Ann Polytechnic Primers, Nanyang Polytechnic Primers, Anglo-Chinese Junior College Primers and Head Quarters Primers.

Think you are up to the challenge? Come represent SP.Primers now!

Sport Available:
Soccer (Male) – 2 Teams, 9 Players each
Basketball (Male) – 2 Teams, 4 Players each
Basketball (Female) – 2 Teams, 4 Players each
Captain Ball (Female) – 2 Teams, 9 Players each

Whereby you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery in Pulau Ubin.

Through food junction I understand and know my teammate better. I also understand team work is very important to us when we are doing things together as a group.

In this event I also have a chance to understand the culture in Geylang better by walking and discover new things, and also definitely is the delicious locate food they provide.

It was a fun-filled day as I got to know many new friends and most importantly they all enjoyed themselves very much. I played games such as silent heart attack & UNO stacko. These games actually helped me built closer bond among my new friends.

Not only that during the setting up of the barbeque, I also shared a lot about my secondary life with the others and they too share theirs. I find that we have many things to talk about and many similar things in life. Although not a lot of people staying overnight, they being able to attend the chalet for the activities & barbeque were already good enough.

During the night after the barbeque, the others and I was also given an opportunity on what activities we were to organized if there will be activities during the holiday. There are a lot of interesting ideas given by a lot of people. I would say this chalet was a great success and from this chalet I learned that as primer, we care, we share and we wait.

Geylang is a wonderful place filled with atmosphere and glorious food. There are a wide variety of cheap and delicious foods found along the street. Smooth, white curds made from soya beans are served in a bowl with syrup. Further down the road, meet our King of Fruits – Durians! You just can't get enough of the rich, creamy, bitter-sweet lumps. Not enough? How about getting a plate of Geylang Famous Beef Kway Teow or do you prefer the frog's leg porridge?
