Let's take a look at some info on our past Presidents, the leaders of the executive committee.
2005 to April 2006
IRVIN LIM
A patient and caring man, Irvin is always there to lend a listening ear. He graduated with a Diploma in Multimedia in 2006 and overcame the difficulties of starting and maintaining a young club while balancing his studies.
There will be times where this young club will face hardships and difficulties but Irvin will always be there, well-prepared and ready to face the storms. Together with his small group of exco, he led Primers to many firsts; including new events, huge turnouts and a strong presence in SP.
For his efforts, he was awarded the Excellence in Service Award (Campus Vibrancy) by the school.
He is currently serving his National Service in the RSAF.
April 2006 to May 2007
LUA SHENG LONG
Sheng Long is one of the pioneer members of SP.Primers. He served as the Vice President (2005) and together with another seven exco members, he gave his best to bring life into the club. With his leadership, he led in the combined Ngee Ann and Singapore Polytechnic Primers Orientation Camp in 2006.
With great wisdom, he is always very willing to listen and share his thoughts or experiences with those in need despite his busy schedule. He is sensitive to people and care for the well-being of people under him.
For his contributions and efforts to make SP.Primers better, he was awarded the Excellence in Service Award (Community Service).
This Aeronautical graduate is currently serving his National Service in the RSAF as a F-16 Dedicated Crew Chief.
May 2007 to June 2008
NG HUISHAN
Huishan is a young lady who likes challenges as she took up the challenge to serve as Vice President (2006). The workload of a Business Admin student was not enough to deter her from going for the Sri Lanka Humanitarian trip to provide a service to the less fortunate.
Care and concern never seems to depart from her especially towards those who've not been coming for activities. She is always seen getting people involved and making a constant effort to help everybody blend in.
This young lady shows that beyond just studies, it is also important in excel in your own personal development and relationship with one another. It doesn’t matter how young you are but rather how willing you are to give it a try.
She is entering into the workforce.
JUNE 2008 to MAY 2009
KELLY TEK
Kelly took up the role of being the President in Primers in 2008 when she was only a year 2 student. Although this is the first time taking up such a role she try her best in helping and serving the club.
She always believe in the support of people, when she begin her life as a President she didn't know the EXCO well but after working together with 21 of them this is where she found the fun, warmth and laughter. Excitement and challenges is what she's always looking forward to. Although it might be tough for her both academically and cca-wise but she managed to balance her time for both.
For her relently pursue of a better presence in SP set out by her seniors, Kelly was awarded the Excellence in Service Award (Community Service). For the first time in club history, she managed to steer SP.Primers to clich the Excellence in Service Award - GROUP (Community Service).
She is currently schooling as a year 3 in the School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology.
