Mess to Nest - The Aftermath

Some of you might know that Vimel, Derrick and I have been going back to school the past few days/weeks to do up the Primers Room. Decorating the room wasn’t pretty much on our agenda but what we wanted was to clear up the mess to at least make the room usable again.

Not forgetting the frequent cockroach fights and shouting and screaming whenever we discover new unwelcome visitors in our room which provided a lot of fun and laughter. After a few days of intense packing and ‘planning’ we finally transformed the Primers Room and we call this operation, “From Mess to Nest”.

However, I received a call from a contractor yesterday, saying that is he coming to renovate the room, especially the tiles. Upon hearing the news, I am glad and relieved that, “wah, finally they are coming to fix our room”, on the other hand, “wah, sian… our efforts have gone to waste!”

Even as I witness how the contractors literally “tore up” our nest, I can’t help but feel wasted for my brothers. Although I played a part in helping them to tear the place up =P

As I even try to bring you guys the latest news, I found this which I find that is very apt to the situation today.

As you can see from the video, the rubber man gets crushed by the bulldozer umpteen times but yet he manages to come up stronger than before every time!

If you still don’t get it, the rubber man signifies the Primers family while the bulldozer signifies all the trials and temptations, the quarrels, the unhappiness and whatever negative things you can think about.

We have been building this family for close to 3 years now and in CCA terms, it is still a relatively new club but we have exceeded expectations from the school. As we get bigger, it is harder for us to connect well with each on every one of you, and to be honest, some may even leave the family without knowing what does a family really means.

So dear brothers and sisters, as we enter into a new year, let it be victorious, just like the rubber man! Even if we fall, we are going to conquer it and reach even greater heights!

By the way, I have a very important announcement to make: *drums roll please!*
