What do YOUcampaign mean?

NICE BALLS
3 different videos all speaking the same thing to me. When we think differently, and see things in a way others do not see (a person speaking as though he was from an off sync video or a guitarist seeing not only a single musical instrument but a full ensemble or a group of guys using the ping pong ball as the focus of a video) we become leaders of our generation.
I guess it is pushing it a little to say that we can become leaders of our generation if we just see and do things differently. But then again we might never be sure who our next Prime Minister is or even on a smaller scale the next President of SP.Primers.
But this is what SP.Primers have to offer, giving the youths of today the opportunity to become leaders of tomorrow. Many of the freshies must be asking this question, so what is SP.Primers all about. There are adventure elements in our club, there is a strong sense of community service spirit in us and even the events just for us to relax and chill out very rojak feeling, like all in one!
So who are we? well as YOUcampaign tries to put it, we are very interested in YOU. Building you up to be a leader, a person that chooses to go the path less taken. to discover your talents and push you to become the person that you were meant to be. We focus much on understanding ourselves as individuals and also how we work as a team. Sounds like boring? WRONG, the fun we have exceeds much more than you will expect from a club that focuses on LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT! More importantly in this journey with us as a club, we are a family of fun-loving people who are concerned about every individual!
Hear this, give us at least one year of your time in Poly, we will have fun together and that you will grow with us! So to know more about us and our activities (i know you freshies really wanna know what we do and the commitment that is required of you) come down to our YOUphoria it will only be an hour or so but tons of fun k! So look up to the banner and you know where to find us and at what time!

Mr.Tee Welcomes YOU!
Hey hey!!! It’s my turn to tell more about myself! Wahaha… are u guys excited? I’m sure all of you are. *fingers crossed*
I’m going to go straight to the point. Long time ago, when aloy, jianting( my 2 secondary school bros) and I were still fresh from the oven, we decided to join SP primers. The funny thing was that it was partly because Ms SP was in Primers at that time. HAHA. Oppx. And the first camp we went, all I grasped was that “We are a family” slogon thing. And from then on, what went thru my mind was “ OMG, so and so is part of the family? DISASTER LEH” or “yAY! Blablabla”. That to me was kind of a “Great” start, and honestly to me was bullshit at that time. Oppx again. Haha. Common sense would have told anyone that CCA/club is just to have fun and know more friends to say hi and bye to in school.
I think I’ll have to fast forward and skip the things that happened in between. (Imagine the fast-forwarding disk-like sound now).
OKIES! Almost 2 years later, now from 2 bros, I’ve gotten so many more bros and sisters in this family. Even though some are “full” bros, some “half” bros and likewise for sisters (half meaning not full YET). Looking back at the times we’ve spent and got together, be it good or bad, it’s just amazing. And especially being in the middle generation of seeing primers from a small club becoming a big one, our family is indeed a blessing. AND so right now, I’ve to tell all those who are fresh from the oven… WAHAHA…. I can’t wait to see you guys being a part of our family!!! COME COME COME!!!!!!!!!!!

A self introduction to all the year ones in SP.Primers, I'm Diana, JUST graduated from SP School of BuiltEnvironment (DPFM). Currently I am working as an assistant Quantity Surveyor at DAVIS LANGDON & SEAH Consultant (Singapore). Meantime, I am also in the process of waiting for NUS application. And I am ONLY going to 20 years-old this year.
Well, yesterday as all of you came to our YOUcampaign BBQ, it makes me think back to the first time I went for my first Primers' event. I remember clearly the first event I went for wasn’t even the BBQ but was the Welcome Party. At that time, I was already in my 2nd year in SP. It was during the CCA Drive that three SP.Primers guys came to approach my friends and me to join SP.Primers. My friends and I wasn’t really interested at all at that time but we just simply wrote down our contacts because of the flower balloons that the guys gave us. Ha-ha. Yes, we were attached by the flower balloons then. Thinking back, it was really very funny how I went into SP.Primers because of a flower balloon.
As promised, my friends and I went for the Welcome Party then subsequently the rest of the events.
But slowly, my friends stopped going to any of the events due to other commitments. Because of my friends, I too, stopped going. It was only until last year POC (Primers’ Orientation Camp) that the POC committee asked my friends and me if we want to be GL (Group Leader) for POC. We thought it might be fun to go for a last camp before we graduated because at that time we were already in our 3rd year. At the camp, I was really blessed by my group, Kiowa. It was also at that moment, I felt the heart for this family, SP.Primers. Therefore, because of the heart I felt for this family during the camp, I stay on in this family although my friends didn’t.
Many of the year twos in SP.Primers always asked me this question, “Why did you came back to Primers without having your friends with you?” “Won’t you feel alone without your friends with you in Primers?”
Yes, indeed in the beginning, I too thought I would sure be lonely in Primers, having to return without my friends. BUT, it wasn’t the case. I was warmly welcome back to this family! My journey in SP.Primers is just a short one year before I graduated but during this short one year, I had learned more than anything I had learned during my three years in SP and even before.
In my journey in SP.Primers, there are a few precious people that I would like to give thanks to: Pastor/Captain Danny & Evelyn, Officers Kenny & YaoHan, Brothers ShengLong, Vimel, GuoJun, Derrick, Aloysius and JianTing, Sisters HuiShan and ShiHui. Of course not to forget the current Primers, all of you have really grew and gained some of the leadership skills, JIA YOU guys! Because of all of them, my journey in SP.Primers is of great experiences!!!
Now, if you asked me why am I still in SP.Primers although I have graduated? Don’t I have work and other stuffs to do? Simply is because I want to invest into the Youths’ life which is all of you!

Dear Excos & seniors, just recently i had a conversation with someone that said something about my close group of friends that make me wanna change. He said something to this effect, that for us (this bunch of close friends) we will be there for one another quietly supporting each other but not really going to speak out our love for one another. When i think about it, it has alot of truth in it. We are a very close bunch of brothers and we will make time out to meet with one another and also really rush down to be with one another in times of need, but we dun say alot of encouraging words to one another, out loud i meant and sometimes even put down each other. So guys i told myself i wanna change, and here it is.
Dear Excos, i am really proud of you guys, and i have always said this, you guys are really the best bunch of people running a BB company and a Primers company! I look around other companies, they do not seem to be as good as you. They are good, mind you, but in my eyes you guys are the BEST!
Dear Recruitment and POC planning committee, guys when i see everyone of you really working hard and sometimes even stepping on each other toes because you are pushing each other to do your best for this club, i say that YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! I am so very proud of everyone of you and trust me when i say this, cos there are other people who always asks hows my company doing this year, and i will say this, its tough man but with this current batch of committee, all things can be done and i trust them ALOT! You guys are really GOOD.
For the officers, there is none other than Yaohan, and the way he has to run so hard, sacrifice so much, i really do wanna say thank you and more imptly you are a very dear bro to me and there is no one else that i wld rather have with me in this company than you!
Dear dad/Pastor/Captain/Danny, you are the best guy on top of this family! I have told you 3 weeks ago how much i wanna be under you and be in your family and leadership. There really is no one else tat i rather have as my dad than you. Thanks for all the support, the examples you have taught me and also the times we spent together. I still remember most of them and also for the space and trust that you have given me, this is something i treasure too ahahahahaa. But really you are the man that i have always looked up you and someone i aspire to be!
